Charred Green Beans with Tahini
A five-ingredient side dish with smoke and sesame.
High heat gives the beans smoky char while the tahini dressing makes them feel substantial enough for a light meal.
Ingredients
- 300 g green beans, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 2 to 3 tablespoons cold water
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
- Sesame seeds, salt, and chili flakes
Method
- Heat a large skillet until very hot. Toss beans with oil and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, turning only occasionally, until blistered and tender-crisp.
- Whisk tahini, lemon, garlic, salt, and enough water to make a pourable sauce.
- Spread the tahini on a serving plate and pile the hot beans over it.
- Finish with sesame seeds and chili flakes.
Serve it with
Add warm flatbread, olives, and a soft cheese for a fast table.
